There are many things I appreciate about this post on shoddy brewing. First, the author’s willingness to put his money where his mouth is and actually make 5 gallons of beer with this deliberate recklessness. That’s dedication, I say.
Second; the results are still drinkable. It may not be the best beer but the results do not suggest infection or any serious off flavors. So the process of making beer really does have some leeway-you can mess up, or at least not do it perfectly, and still come out alright.
Which makes me feel bad about the next batch I’m going to write about…
